Mr Reddy is now a remand prisoner in the Chanchalguda Central prison in Hyderabad, after the CBI court remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days.

Chanchalguda prison, which houses more than 800 prisoners, is meant exclusively for under-trial prisoners, who have not been convicted so far. Reddy is a remand prisoner because he has not been chargesheeted by the CBI.
