Emmanuel June Event

A deceptive event? You could have fooled us.Welcome to the online guide for do-it-yourself Ceramic tile. Not that they didn’t try: the compulsive appearance of the word ‘ILLUSION’, and the accompanying littering of assorted optical illusions,If molds is a problem in your home. painted gratuitously on cardboard,See her exciting new landscape oil paintings. looked carelessly placed. They seemed an unfortunately misdirected investment of time and effort, given both the potential of the theme, and its disappointingly lackluster manifestation more generally elsewhere.Secured handsfree building and door access solutions with Hands free access by Nedap AVI.

The Committee’s promise to subvert expectations surprised only in the Event’s own predictability. Whilst swing boats, standard inflatables, and poorly managed shisha in the unfortunate drizzle are the token atttractions of May Week, they hardly cast their spell far. Meanwhile, black tie versus the bucking bronco was a perversely hilarious battle of egos, replayed throughout the night; in the words of the beast’s straight-faced operator, some students ‘didn’t even make the second speed’.

Those who had attended last year’s Ball noted that the necessarily lower budget of this year’s Event was more acutely evident than it needed to be. This was due mostly to a lack of creativity. We enjoyed the food, and weren’t pining after Trinity’s Moet and oysters, but at 72 per ticket the details become more crucial than ever, and these were too often overlooked. Lessons might have been learned from other lower-end alternatives to the May Week blockbusters – perhaps from Girton’s recent Spring Ball, where thrifty resourcefulness was evident in such simple but effective touches as the coloured lights placed in the windows of courtyard-facing rooms.Plastic Injection Molding and injection molded parts in as quick as 3 days.

Cheap and cheerful fried food, burgers, and an excellent wood-fired pizza stand hit the spot and left no one hungry, but vegetarian options were conspicuously lacking, made only more evident by the incongruously adjacent announcement, ‘MEAT HERE’, daubed over a paper St George’s flag flying above the proud barbeque coals. The cheese stand was a small but appreciated addition to the rest of the night’s menu, though it could have been placed more prominently to avoid many guests missing out on it entirely. Separating the strawberry stand from the chocolate fountain was not the creative innovation that the Committee appeared to be going for; while the plastic punnets of strawberries were very tasty, their isolated inclusion felt frustratingly unadventurous. Pimms was of a consistently high standard and guests were never far from the standard spirits and mixers, all of which were flowing until the end of the night.

After the audience recovered from the shock of being compared to members of the Taliban by the Cabaret room’s compere and sent him packing with a tumbleweed reception, Boogaloo Stu and his Pop Magic act provided some of the most bizarre and gripping moments of the evening. His ‘gay anthem extravaganza’ rode entirely on the YouTube generation audience taking active participation to levels that genuinely did defy expectation, culminating in the production of a chart-topper from scratch, complete with kitsch music video. And hats off to the sullen editing efficiency of his glamorous assistant, DJ Ka$hback. Headlining pop-electronic act, Picture Book, filled the main tent with glowstick-wielding guests, demonstrating the payoff of a gamble taken on a lesser-known ents booking.
