BARTOW | County planning commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to approve a change in the county's growth plan and development code to regulate where and how solar power facilities can be built or installed.
County planners said they've been approached by companies interested in building solar farms, facilities that contain a collection of solar panels, but which are limited by current development regulations.
Planner John Bohde said the impetus of the effort began when a solar farm was planned near Lakeland Linder Regional Airport before the property was annexed by Lakeland.Save on hydraulic hose and fittings,
